On my first algebra I only got 3/6 right and on my test I just did I got 5/6 right and I was not very good at Folding fractions because I thought you just needed to add two to it.
I have improved on folding fractions because you needed to just double the number by its self.
This is my Maia Poroaki story
Maia poroaki was a gardner a very cheeky gardner,and he would try to do anything to stop getting work from Uenuku he would trick him by doing Karakia.
One day Uenuku got really mad at Maia and he wanted to kill him because he was lazy but Maias sister herd him and found Maia washing out the Hue and she told him to leave the Island so Raura got him a waka,but Uenuku found out and Maia wanted to fight so they did and Maia killed Uenuku but he still left.
Maia traveled for Aegis and aegis ended up at Turanganui- A-Kiwa (Gisborne) where he married a girl called Hinehakitai.Maia and his Hue spread all over Turanganui-A-Kiwa.
One day Maia wanted to go across the river and he yelled out to Taiau to give him the waka but she didn't when she did give it to him he was so mad he turned her into a rock in the middle of the river.
Why I should go on the horouta Waka
I would like to go on the waka because it would be great for me to go and explore the world. Also would be great to get off the Island.
I have great navigating skills like looking at stars and seeing what way land is and watching the sea gulls to see what way they are going. It will help us find land. I am great at catching fish. I know if a cloud has a green tinge it is going over land.
I am great at looking after animals of any sort. I am good at keeping animals alive. I am good at cooking and making food.
I am good at being a doctor and fixing up wounds.I can help people when they are sick.
I fancy myself as a builder. I could fix the waka if it breaks. I can fix anything if I have the right tools and supplies to fix it . I am good at fixing wakas. I am trained to fix wakas.
In conclusion, that is why I want to go on the waka again. It would be a great experience to go on.
Today we went to the Tairawhiti Museum we learnt that only special people got to wear a Huia feathers and the Kea cloak. And that the female Huia had a 14 cm long Beak.
The thing that were fun, we got to make an art piece, it was a Maori kite. And we got to go on a hunt to find these that were on a piece of paper.
Geometry Reflection
My strengths
There are two things I am good at: Drawing reflections of shapes and letters and naming 3d shapes. I am good at those two things because of mathletics and from going to Mr S and Mr K´ś workshops.
Goals
My goals from the geometry test were enlarging shapes and naming the quadrilateral and I need to work on city directions.
What helped me
I think doing mathletics and going to the teachers workshops helped me a lot and doing homework with mum.
Preparing
I prepared for my geometry tests by going on the hub website and watching some of the videos from the website and doing all of the mathletics tasks
What the teachers did well in, and what they need to work on
The teachers helped me by setting up the mathletics tasks and by challenging me in all of the workshops we did.
Conclusion
Now you know what my strengths and weaknesses are

Writing task:
To think of 12 things that are either in Mr S’s or Mr K’s pocket or Sponge Bob Square Pants
Focus: Punctuation and Sentences.
Punctuation Success:
OK: All sentences have capital letters and fullstops. Example: In Sponge Bob’s pockets there was a key.
There was also rubber.
Good: There are a range of other punctuation eg commas, question marks etc Example In Sponge Bob’s pocket there was a telescope. Why? This is so he could see where he was going.
Excellent: I can use semicolons in a list. See example below

What I learned this week was: I learnt how to spell long I sounds and how to round.

My Maths Reflection on Learning in Statistics
What I’ve got better at or improved upon.
I now know I’m better at understanding what a bar graph is and how to draw one accurately. I also have learnt about probability and that some events are more likely to occur or happen than others.
What I still need to work on:
While we looked diagram I still need to do more work on that. I know how to read them but find it difficult to plot the points.
What I enjoyed and what could be better.
I really enjoyed the Kahoots since they were fun plus playing fill em up Steve.
